In this role, you will drive manufacturing excellence at Cummins’ Plainfield, IN center by improving equipment effectiveness and streamlining processes. You’ll lead cross-functional efforts to optimize production with a customer-centric mindset and data-driven problem solving. The position integrates Lean, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 technologies to modernize operations and sustain gains. You will shape initiatives that boost quality, efficiency, and competitiveness while mentoring teams and navigating ambiguity.

Responsabilités

Drive OEE improvement by reducing scrap and cycle times using Lean and Six Sigma methods
Lead cross-functional initiatives and align teams to accelerate results
Champion continuous improvement to optimize workflows and reduce waste
Apply data-driven analysis to diagnose performance gaps and implement actionable improvements
Facilitate a collaborative environment that motivates and engages staff
Navigate ambiguity to maintain progress and clarity in evolving conditions
Address conflicts constructively to protect relationships and keep projects on track
Support design, planning, and real-time production management using relevant software

Principales exigences

Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering background
MBA or MS preferred
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
Experience leading Kaizen events and applying 5S, MIFC, VSM, RCA
Strong ability to interpret operational data and drive measurable improvements
On-site manufacturing experience with team leadership
Proficiency with CAD tools, Oracle, SolidWorks, and ERP/MES platforms
Knowledge of Industry 4.0 technologies (automation, robotics, advanced analytics) and their integration into production systems
Licensing may be required for export controls or sanctions compliance
100% On-site position with potential relocation considerations
