In this role you will provide medical leadership to shape global medical strategy for Biogen's nephrology programs, guiding launch planning and evidence generation. You will partner with nephrology experts and cross-functional teams to advance IgAN, PMN, and related programs, aiming to improve patient outcomes. You will lead high-impact medical activities, support publications and communications, and build external collaborations to strengthen Biogen’s leadership in nephrology globally.

Responsabilités

Partner with nephrology experts to inform medical strategy and cross-functional plans
Develop and execute global medical strategies aligned with clinical development and launch planning
Lead high-impact medical activities (advisory boards, medical education, KME strategies)
Support clinical development programs through site engagement and center of excellence identification
Lead evidence generation strategies including investigator-initiated research and phase 4 studies
Collaborate with publications and scientific communications to disseminate data and educate stakeholders
Foster collaborations with external stakeholders including patient advocacy groups
Possibly manage direct reports

Principales exigences

Advanced degree required: MD, PhD or PharmD
8+ years in pharmaceutical industry, preferably in a headquarters-based Global Medical Affairs role
Experience in developing, communicating, and executing a global medical affairs plan
Ability to lead across global, regional, and affiliate medical teams
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Strong cross-functional collaboration and risk-sharing mindset
Keeps clinical and technical expertise up-to-date with literature and scientific meetings
Excellent communication, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills
Knowledge of ex-US regulations relevant to Medical Affairs
Ability to travel 30–40% and work across time zones
