In this role, you will be the senior estimator responsible for calculating accurate cost prices for maritime projects, guiding sales pricing and project lead times. You will work in a cross-functional Estimating Team within Sales to base quotes on customer data, drawings, and specifications. Your work supports winning projects while avoiding loss-making work, in a dynamic ship repair market. You will engage with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver complete, risk-aware quotations and budgets.

Responsabilités
- Independently prepare quotations for repair, maintenance, conversions and construction works based on customer data
- Analyze provided technical specifications and drawings and confirm scope with the customer
- Collaborate with purchasing, subcontractors and suppliers to draft an optimal, time-aware budget
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required, potentially involving travel
- Produce timely, accurate cost calculations and clear technical specifications
- Gather tender documents and prepare counter specifications when needed
- Plan own work and monitor deliverables and calculations
- Offer project planning and basic engineering data to support quotations
- Stay informed about industry developments and ship repair techniques
- Consult internal files for key figures and standards; request quotes from suppliers
- Visit ships to inspect works and refine specifications and data as necessary
- Contribute to customer discussions on scope and feasibility to finalize complete quotes
- Prepare final budget and ensure alignment with customer requirements
Principales exigences
- Higher or secondary technical education with commercial and technical affinity (e.g., Engineering, Shipbuilding, Technical Business Administration)
- Extensive knowledge of estimating and cost structures in ship repair
- Flexible, accurate, and a team player
- Proficient in English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Projects; familiarity with relevant software
- Experience in ship repair market and broad technical knowledge; mechanical or naval engineering background advantageous
- Experience in maritime project estimation or similar technical environment
