As a Senior Surveyor/Estimator at Churchill Retirement Living in Byfleet, you will oversee the financial aspects of multiple contracts, from cost planning to subcontractor procurement and final evaluation. You’ll supervise the onsite Surveyor, coordinate with internal Stakeholders and external partners, and deliver monthly forecasts for the Board. You’ll combine hands-on surveying with commercial input to support ambitious growth and high-quality retirement developments. Responsabilités
- oversee financial cycle for 2–3 contracts from cost planning to final subcontractor evaluation
- procure, pay and evaluate subcontractors
- supervise and train the onsite Surveyor
- prepare monthly forecast reports for the Board
- manage budget preparation, scheduling and estimates
- negotiate terms with external contractors, suppliers and consultants
- visit sites weekly and adapt to targets
- collaborate with Land Team and Managing Director on projects
Principales exigences
- construction background with surveying experience, preferably in residential development
- HNC or HND qualification
- membership in a professional body (RICS or MOICB) preferred
- ability to read architect drawings and specifications
- experience in measuring drawings and preparing bills of quantities
- familiarity with COINS advantageous
- commercially astute negotiator
- able to work independently and as part of a team
- strong prioritisation and self-motivation
