In this role you will lead tax compliance, planning, and advisory services for a diverse client portfolio, including high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and businesses. You will manage federal and state filings, mentor junior staff, and oversee key client relationships to ensure accurate, strategic results. You’ll tackle complex tax issues, coordinate audits, and optimize workflows with leading software. This position combines technical tax leadership with client-facing advisory, aligned with a rigorous public accounting environment.

Responsabilités

  • Oversee complex federal and state returns for Individuals, Fiduciaries/Trusts, S-Corporations, and C-Corporations
  • Research technical tax issues and design planning strategies to minimize liabilities
  • Supervise and develop tax staff; conduct performance evaluations
  • Serve as primary client contact for tax matters and present strategies to clients
  • Coordinate responses to tax notices and support audit representations
  • Manage engagement timelines and streamline processes using tax software

Principales exigences

  • CPA license required
  • 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting with direct review experience on Forms 1040, 1041, 1120, 1120S
  • Strong proficiency in federal/state tax law, tax research tools, tax software (UltraTax, CCH, Drake), and Excel
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's in Taxation / MST preferred)
  • Strong project management, client service mindset, and communication skills
